The Impact of Sci-tech Talent on New Quality Productive Forces in Manufacturing Enterprises:Mechanisms and Empirical Evidence

Abstract
Sci-tech talent serves as both a critical human capital foundation for developing new quality productive forces and a core driver of technological transformation.Utilizing panel data from China's A-share listed manufacturing enterprises(2013-2022),this study constructs an enterprise-level new quality productive force evaluation system based on two dimensions—substantive and penetrative productivity elements—to empirically analyze the influence of sci-tech talent on new quality productive forces and its inherent mechanisms.The findings reveal that sci-tech talent significantly enhances the development of new quality productive forces in manufacturing enterprises,primarily through alleviating financing constraints,improving innovation efficiency,and helping enterprises overcome innovation bottlenecks.Heterogeneity analysis indicates that this positive effect is more pronounced in private enterprises and those located in central cities.Based on this,enterprises should prioritize the primary task of high-quality development and develop new quality productivity according to local conditions;promote trilateral synergy among"education,science and technology,and talents";Improve the evaluation and incentive mechanism for sci-tech talents to attract top-tier professionals.关键词
