摘要
Abstract
Growing global concern for animal welfare has driven significant regulatory changes in swine production.Since 2012,the European Union has mandated that surgical castration of boars must be performed under anesthesia,with multiple countries progressively banning non-anesthetized surgical castration.Modern pig farming is transitioning from traditional intensive management towardwelfare-enhancing and eco-friendly production models,necessitating balanced consideration of economic viability,ecological impact,and animal welfare.Immunocastration,as an alternative strategy,extends beyond improving welfare to critical aspects including meat quality,production efficiency,and economic returns,necessitating systematic research.This article review the biochemical mechanisms underlying boar taint formation,elucidates the principles and advantages of immunocastration technology,evaluates its application efficacy in swine production,analyzes economic implications,and identifies current challenges and future research priorities.关键词
