Single-Cell Transcriptomic Sequencing Technologies and Their Application Progress in Pig Research

Abstract
Single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)is a technology that enables the acquisition of whole-genome expression profiles at the individual cell level.This is achieved through a workflow involving cell isolation,library preparation,high-throughput sequencing,and subsequent bioinformatic analysis.scRNA-seq provides comprehensive gene expression data at single-cell resolution,which is instrumental for investigating gene expression heterogeneity within specific cell subpopulations.This capability facilitates the identification of previously unknown or rare cell types and establishes a critical foundation for in-depth mechanistic studies.This review summarizes the methodologies and explores their applications in swine research,with a focus on genetic breeding,disease resistance,and growth and development.Furthermore,the current limitations and future prospects of scRNA-seq technology in these fields are discussed.关键词
