Abstract
Chronic atrophic gastritis is a prevalent and challenging digestive system disorder,serving as a critical link in the progression from inflammation to cancer.Without timely intervention and treatment,it may further develop into gastric cancer.In traditional Chinese medicine,chronic atrophic gastritis falls under the categories of"stomachache","gastric distension",and"epigastric discomfort".Its traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine pathogenesis is complicated.Professor WU Guangjiong has unique insights in the pathogenesis and treatment of the disease based on years of clinical experience.The etiological and pathogenesis are mainly spleen and stomach transportation-dampness turbidity blocking-Qi(气)stagnation.The disease location involves the spleen,stomach,liver,and kidney.The accumulation of pathological products of dampness,heat,fire,toxin,and blood stasis runs through the course of the disease.Spleen deficiency is the basis of the transformation of inflammation to cancer.Heat toxin and blood stasis are the core links of the transformation of inflammation to cancer.Kidney deficiency and Qi stagnation are the driving factors of the transformation of inflammation to cancer.In Western medicine,chronic atrophic gastritis is an important turning point in the transformation of inflammation to cancer,and its incidence is increasing year by year,which is difficult to be cured clinically.Currently,Western medicine treatment mainly focuses on inhibiting acid to harmonize stomach,protecting gastric mucosa,and promoting gastrointestinal motility,and no specific drugs have been found to treat chronic atrophic gastritis.Recent studies have found that the inflammatory state of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis plays an important role in the pathogenesis,but Western medicine cannot fundamentally curb the progression and deterioration of gastric mucosal lesions.Professor WU Guangjiong has been engaged in medical practice for more than 50 years,on the basis of inheriting the experience of predecessors and summarizing clinical practice,the professor has established the treatment principles of"replenishing water","supporting wood",and"harmonizing soil"based on the theory of the transformation of inflammation to cancer,which fills the vacancy of blocking the progression of chronic atrophic gastritis by"reversing"intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia,providing new ideas for the differentiation and treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis in traditional Chinese medicine.关键词
