A review on the relationship between TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway and the pathogenesis of renal fibrosis in diabetes nephropathy

摘要

Abstract

Diabetes is a common chronic disease,which seriously affects the health of patients.The number of diabetes patients in the world is increasing every year,and the number of diabetes patients in China is the largest.Diabetes nephropathy is one of the main complications of diabetes,which is an important cause of chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney disease in diabetes patients.At present,the mechanism of the occurrence and development of diabetes nephropathy is not very clear.A large number of studies indicate that renal fibrosis may participate in the occurrence and development of diabetes nephropathy.The causes of renal fibrosis in diabetes nephropathy are complex,which are related to inflammatory reaction,oxidative stress,epithelial mesenchymal transformation and other factors.TGF-β1/Smad is a classic pathway of TGF-β signaling pathway.Research shows that the activation of TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway is closely related to the occurrence and development of renal fibrosis in diabetes nephropathy.Both miRNA and lncRNA are non coding RNA molecules.Studies have shown that miRNA and lncRNA also mediate renal fibrosis in diabetes nephropathy through TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway.This article discussed the pathogenesis of renal fibrosis in diabetes nephropathy from five aspects:inflammatory reaction,oxidative stress,epithelial mesenchymal transformation,autophagy,and epigenetic modification,discussed the relationship between TGF-β1 and Smad protein and the occurrence and development of renal fibrosis in diabetes nephropathy,and discussed the influence of miRNA and lncRNA on the occurrence and development of renal fibrosis in diabetes through TGF-β1/Smad signal pathway,in order to provide new ideas for the treatment and research of renal fibrosis in diabetes nephropathy.
