Abstract
Rectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract worldwide,and its incidence and mortality rates have been on the rise in recent years.As an independent prognostic factor of rectal cancer,timely and accurate diagnosis of perineural nerve invasion is of great help for personalized treatment and early intervention of patients.As the most commonly used non-invasive examination method for rectal cancer,imaging has broad potential application prospects for preoperative prediction of perineural nerve invasion of rectal cancer.This article reviews the research progress of imaging in the preoperative prediction of perineural nerve invasion of rectal cancer based on domestic and foreign research literature in recent years.Literature review findings indicate that conventional imaging examinations can only indirectly suggest the presence of perineural nerve invasion(PNI)in rectal cancer.Quantitative and semi-quantitative parameter analyses based on conventional imaging can improve the accuracy of preoperative prediction of rectal cancer PNI to a certain extent.Radiomics models based on computed tomography(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)demonstrate a favorable predictive value for preoperative assessment of perineural nerve invasion in rectal cancer.关键词
