摘要

Abstract

According to the engineering characteristics of red clay in Shijia Reservoir,the experimental study on the physical and mechanical properties of red clay mixed with sand was carried out,and the influence of sand on the physical and mechanical properties of red clay was analyzed.The test results show that the gradation of red clay mixed with sand is more reasonable;the liquid plastic limit,plastic index and optimal water content of soil are signifi-cantly reduced,the shear strength and maximum dry density are significantly improved;the compaction performance and shrinkage performance are improved.For the red clay at Shijia Reservoir,after the sand mixing ratio reaches 35%,the growth of soil mechanical properties tends to be stable,which can better meet the requirements of dam filling.
