Abstract

The terms"story"and"storyline"are effective means to express the profound connotations of scientific culture in thematic exhibitions.Telling stories in exhibitions can attract the public and enhance the ideological content and educational effect of the exhibition.Taking the Changjiang River Exhibition of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum as an example,this paper discusses the specific practice of"telling stories"in science popularization thematic exhibitions,combining the analysis of the connotation of thematic exhibitions and the role of storytelling in them.It is proposed that to exert the"power of stories"in science popularization temporary exhibitions,one must use"good"stories to endow the exhibition with profound ideological content,and use themes and storylines to connect cultural fragments into meaningful narratives,in order to achieve the construction of the exhibition's meaning and ultimately reach the best display effect and scientific education goals.
