Disease Prediction Algorithm Based on Host-microbial Network

针对疾病预测方法中忽略微生物相互作用问题,提出基于宿主—微生物双层网络的疾病预测算法.利用微生物测序信息与系统发育树构建宿主—微生物网络,应用重启随机游走算法在网络上进行传播,结合先验微生物,识别与疾病相关的微生物模体,构造模体特征并纳入模型中预测疾病.实验结果表明,在结直肠癌的检测中,逻辑回归的AUC值从0.84提升至0.90,随机森林的AUC值从0.88提升至0.92.

An algorithm for disease prediction based on a host-microbe dual-layer network was proposed to address the issue of microbial interactions being overlooked in disease pre-diction methods.Host-microbe networks were constructed by microbial sequencing data and phylogenetic trees.The restart random walk algorithm was applied to propagate sig-nals across the network,and disease-associated microbial motifs were identified with prior microbial knowledge.These motifs were converted into predictive features and incorporat-ed into a model for disease prediction.The experimental results show that in the detection of colorectal cancer,the AUC value of logistic regression increases from 0.84 to 0.90,and the AUC value of random forest increases from 0.88 to 0.92.
