Abstract
The Chahai Site in Fuxin, located in Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County,Fuxin City,Liaoning Province,is an early Neolithic ancient human settlement(village)site with the earliest date, the most complete preservation, and the richest cultural connotations in the West Liao River Basin in northern China. The Chahai-type culture, represented by the Chahai Site,is a ten-thousand-year-old culture that is one of the root sources of Chinese civilization, characterized by unique features including"jade, dragon, axis, and god".The Chahai Site and its cultural group are among the origins and starting points of the Liaohe civilization and,by extension,Chinese civilization.Based on combing and introducing the remains and cultural relics unearthed from the Chahai Site, this paper focuses on analyzing and studying the cultural characteristics of the jade dragon at the Chahai Site and its status, role, and influence in the origin process of Chinese civilization, and further explores the critical role of the Chahai culture in tracing the origin of Chinese civilization.关键词
