摘要

Abstract

To thorough investigate the seismic performance of end-plate connections and their influencing factors,nine sets of finite element models were established and validated against experimental results.The study examined the effects of parameters induding axial compression ratio,column web thickness,beam flange thickness,and end-plate thickness on the seismic performance of end-plate connections.The results indicated that end-plate connections possess excellent seismic performance,with both ductility coefficient and energy dissipation coefficient meeting the speafied requirements.Increasing the column web thickness was dentified as the most effective way to enhance the seismic performance of the connections,significantly enhancing their stiffness,ultimate bearing capacity,and energy dissipation ability.Appropriately increasing the thicknesses of the beam flange and the end plate also improved the seismic performance.However,an increase in the axial com-pression ratio resulted a reduction in ductility;therefore,it is essential to control the axial compression ratio below specified limits during design.
