摘要

Abstract

Artificial intelligence(AI)has become an indispensable tool in meteorological forecasting,demonstrating its ability to analyze the complex dynamics of weather systems.This article explores the application of AI in meteorological prediction,highlighting both its current achievements and challenges that remain.Firstly,traditional machine learning algorithms,such as random forests,XGBoost,and support vector machines,are discussed.Although these algorithms perform better than conventional methods in certain aspects,they still exhibit inherent limitations.Secondly,deep learning models,with their advanced feature extraction and pattern recognition capabilities,have shown remarkable success in analyzing and predicting meteorological variables.Notably,neural networks,convolutional neural networks(CNNs),and recurrent neural networks(RNNs)have been particularly effective in meteorological applications.Furthermore,the article emphasizes the considerable potential of large-scale models such as Pangu,FuXi,and GraphCAST,which have the ability to enhance the accuracy of weather predictions.The study also identifies key areas for future research,focusing on the optimization of models,enhancement of algorithms,improvement of data quality and diversity,and interdisciplinary collaboration.
