Abstract

Objective To evaluate the application effect of OBE-CDIO mode in the teaching of internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods From December 2021 to January 2023,72 students with TCM majors from Grade 2019 in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into traditional teaching group and OBE-CDIO teaching group according to the random number table,with 36 students in each group.All of them were taught internal medicine of TCM.The traditional teaching group adopted traditional teaching methods,while the OBE-CDIO teaching group adopted OBE and CDIO teaching methods.The teaching effectiveness by questionnaire survey and final scores were evaluated.Results The satisfaction of students in the OBE-CDIO group with the teaching at the knowledge level,teaching at the ability level,teaching at the quality level,the teaching methods of teachers,curriculum learning,and the curriculum learning process is significantly higher than that of students in the traditional group,and the differences are all statistically significant(P<0.01).The final examination scores of students in the OBE-CDIO group were(96.37±5.14)points,which are significantly higher than those of students in the traditional group,which were(81.15±4.96)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The OBE-CDIO teaching method can improve the teaching quality of internal medicine of TCM,enhance the teaching effect,and elevate the quality of students,thus greatly increasing students'recognition and academic performance.
