Distributed hybrid electric tractor energy management strategy based on dual-layer optimization

Abstract
As the core power equipment in modern agricultural production,the enhancement of tractor efficiency plays a pivotal role in promoting sustainable agricultural development in China.During tractor plowing operations,the complex and variable working conditions lead to frequent fluctuations in traction resistance,making it challenging for tractors to maintain an efficient and energy-saving operational state.Distributed Hybrid Electric Tractors(DHET)leverage their unique power architecture to synergistically allocate power output to the front and rear drive axles,effectively improving traction performance by combining the technical advantages of distributed and hybrid drive modes.To further enhance overall energy efficiency,this paper proposes a dual-layer energy consumption optimization energy management strategy based on Equivalent Minimum Fuel Consumption(ECMS)and system dynamic constraints.This strategy models energy management as a multi-objective optimization problem,constructing a comprehensive evaluation system for system dynamic performance and fuel economy,aiming to effectively address energy consumption losses in the power system caused by frequent fluctuations in traction resistance during plowing operations,while minimizing dynamic and economic performance indicators under system constraints.To validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy,hardware-in-the-loop experiments were conducted for simulation verification,systematically comparing the proposed dual-layer optimization strategy with the ECMS-based energy management strategy.The hardware-in-the-loop experimental results demonstrate that,compared to the ECMS strategy based on fixed equivalent factors,the dual-layer optimization strategy significantly optimizes the operating points of the engine and motor;under the given simulation conditions,the fuel consumption of the two strategies reached 1 134.52 mL and 1 267.22 mL,respectively,with a total fuel consumption reduction of 10.47%,effectively improving the fuel economy of hybrid electric tractors and providing theoretical support and technical guidance for energy management research in hybrid electric tractors.关键词
