Abstract

To address the limitations of traditional micro tillers,such as restricted operating environments,low thermal efficiency,and severe environmental pollution,this paper designs a wheel-side driven electric micro tiller.Based on the operational scenarios and functional requirements of the micro tiller,a comprehensive analysis of the overall functional needs was conducted to determine key performance and power parameters.A control system solution was devised,leading to the final design of the control interface and the complete electrical system of the machine.Using the discrete element method(DEM),a simulation analysis was conducted on the operational process of the electric micro tiller.Torque was selected as the evaluation metric for the stability simulation of the micro tiller.During the stable operating phase(0.68-1.2 s),the maximum torque reached 81.12 N·m,the minimum was 36.24 N·m,and the average torque was 51.26 N·m.The total power consumption of the system was analyzed,and under the conditions of a forward velocity of 0.3 m/s,a rotary tiller speed of 300 r/min,and a tilling depth of 12 cm,the average power consumption of the rotary tilling operation was 1.61 kW.The average soil-throwing mass was chosen as the evaluation metric for rotary tiller soil-throwing performance simulation,and during the stable operating period(0.68-1.2 s),the average soil-throwing mass was 1.96 kg.Field tests were conducted to evaluate the rotary tilling performance of the electric micro tiller.The results show that the average tilling depth is 122.3 mm,meeting the depth standard for small and medium-sized rotary tillers(not less than 100 mm)and also satisfying the requirements for hilly terrain tilling(depth not less than 110 mm).The average tilling width is 703.1 mm,conforming to the standard for small and medium-sized micro tillers(not less than 70 mm),the maximum average power of the walking drive motor is 1 922.65 W,and fulfilling rotary tilling operation needs.Additionally,the stability coefficients of tilling depth and width are 86%and 94%,respectively,indicating high operational stability.The prototype's performance has been validated to meet design standards and operational requirements.
