Research on energy-saving optimization control of multi-working conditions for hybrid electric tractors based on a constrained proportional power-following strategy

Abstract
To address the issues of complex design,poor adaptability to working conditions,and difficulty in real-time online control of current energy-saving control strategies for hybrid tractors,an energy-saving control strategy based on constrained proportional power following was designed for serial hybrid tractors operating under typical tillage conditions such as plowing and rotary tilling.By incorporating the structural parameters of the tractor's powertrain system,a dynamic model for the tractor during plowing and rotary tilling operations was established.Building upon the power-following energy-saving control strategy,the proposed approach restricts the engine's operating point to its optimal performance curve while enabling the engine to dynamically adjust its output power in proportion to the tractor's current load power,based on a specific proportionality coefficient.This results in the development of an energy-saving control strategy based on constrained proportional power following.Using equivalent fuel consumption as the evaluation metric,the proposed control strategy was compared and analyzed through simulation against two benchmark strategies:power-following control and thermostat control.The results indicate that under plowing conditions,the constrained proportional power following control strategy,compared to the power-following control strategy,achieves the same SOC while reducing equivalent fuel consumption by 8.96%,albeit with a slight increase of 0.12%in diesel consumption.When compared to the thermostat control strategy,it shows a 0.48%increase in electricity consumption but reduces equivalent fuel consumption by 14.56%and diesel consumption by 0.58%.Under rotary tilling conditions,the constrained proportional power following control strategy saves 0.32%of electricity consumption and reduces equivalent fuel consumption by 10.22%compared to the power-following control strategy,though with a 0.77%increase in diesel consumption.In comparison to the thermostat control strategy,it exhibits a 1.29%increase in electricity consumption but reduces equivalent fuel consumption by 15.14%and diesel consumption by 0.44%.Given the minor differences in remaining SOC and diesel consumption,the constrained proportional power following control strategy significantly reduces equivalent fuel consumption compared to both the power-following and thermostat control strategies.This study provides valuable references for the design and real-time online application of energy-saving control strategies in hybrid tractors.关键词
