Abstract
Objective To summarize the characteristics of adverse reactions produced by the clinical application of immune checkpoint inhibitors,and to compare the adverse reactions produced by Chinese medicine combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors with those produced by the application of immune checkpoint inhibitors,so as to provide a reference for the clinical use of immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 56 patients admitted to department of oncology of Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to February 2024.The treatment group received immune checkpoint inhibitors combined with Chinese medicine,while the control group received only immune checkpoint inhibitors.The types and incidence of immune checkpoint inhibitor-related adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The incidence of immune related adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions such as rash,skin itching,abdominal pain,diarrhea,nausea,vomiting,loss of appetite,and fatigue in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine treatment has a good therapeutic effect on alleviating the adverse reactions of immune checkpoint inhibitors used in the treatment of malignant tumor patients,and can improve the quality of life of patients with malignant tumors.关键词
