Additive Manufacturing by Friction Stir Brazing and Its Derived Technology
摘要
Abstract
To expulse the disrupted oxide film fragments at faying surface,eliminate the hook defect formed by embedding bottom plate into top plate with the pin traverse,and expand bonded width in friction stir additive manufacturing(FSAM)by friction stir lap welding(FSLW)process,a novel process of friction stir brazing additive manufacturing(FSB-AM)was proposed,in which plate base material,brazing filler and a large pinfree tool are used as a solution to the mentioned problems.The braze used in FSB is required to have the capability to strongly dissolve base metal.Consequently,FSB is able to expulse the disrupted oxide film fragments with liquid alloying phase after dissolution of base metal into molten braze with the aid of torquing action of the rotating tool,thus easily removing oxide film fragments and expanding bonded width.Additionally,based on the new FSB-AM process,more simple processes of friction stir spot brazing additive manufacturing(FSSB-AM)and friction stir spot welding additive manufacturing(FSSW-AM)were proposed,and the key points,problems and strategies in FSB-AM were introduced.关键词
