Operation Strategy of Air-Source Heat Pump-Assisted Gas Heating System

Abstract
Based on the operating costs of an air-source heat pump-assisted gas heating system(hereinafter re-ferred to as the "system"),an approach to determine the system's operating strategy is proposed.The system features three operating modes:standalone operation of the air-source heat pump,standalone operation of the gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler,and com-bined operation of the air-source heat pump and the gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler.The hourly outdoor temperatures during the heating period of a typical meteorological year in the application area were statistically analyzed to determine the range of hourly outdoor temperatures.Considering the actual heat output of the air-source heat pump and combined with the BIN parameter method,the operating costs of the three operating modes at a specific hourly outdoor temperature were calculated respectively,and the oper-ating mode with the lowest operating cost was selected.A case study of an air-source heat pump-assisted gas heating system in Tianjin illustrates the proposed strat-egy.When the hourly outdoor temperature is less than or equal to-5 ℃,only the gas-fired heating and hot wa-ter combi-boiler is activated.When the hourly outdoor temperature is greater than-5 ℃ and less than-3 ℃,the air-source heat pump and the gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boiler operate in combination.When the hourly outdoor temperature is greater than or equal to-3 ℃,only the air-source heat pump is used.Com-pared with centralized heating systems,the proposed strategy achieves a 31.5%reduction in operating costs.关键词
