Abstract

In response to the problems of tight mining continuity,waste of coal pillar resources,and difficulties in support caused by tra-ditional roadway stress concentration in Xinyan Coal Mine,taking the No.1006 working face of Xinyan Coal Mine as the research ob-ject,a combination of theoretical analysis,numerical simulation,and on-site application methods were used to propose a thick coal seam roof cutting and retaining roadway technology.Based on the analysis of geological and mining technical conditions of No.1006 working face,the roof cutting parameters and reinforcement supporting parameters were determined according to actual engineering situation,and high-strength temporary supporting technology was proposed.The on-site application results show that after the roof cutting,the lateral roof collapses in a timely manner,and high-strength temporary supporting device supports roadway roof in a timely manner and suppres-ses its rotation and sinking.After the gob-side entry retaining,the convergence of roof and floor moved was 52 mm,and the convergence of two sides was 211 mm.After the retaining roadway behind the working face by 300 m,the deformation of the surrounding rock tended to stabilize,which can meet the requirements of mining reuse,providing a reference for implementing gob-side entry retaining technolo-gy under thick coal seam mining conditions.
