Abstract
During the Yuanfu period,Su Shi was demoted and exiled, and the prime minister Zhang Dun acted recklessly, ruthlessly suppressing Su Shi and other senior officials of Yuanyou faction.Zhao Mengde was not afraid of personal and family safety, and was willing to take political risks to travel back and forth between the Central Plains and Huizhou and Qiongzhou, visiting the scattered descendants of Su Shi on his behalf.Upholding righteousness without compromise,Zhao proved himself a true righteous figure of the South China Sea.Su Shi also had great respect for Zhao Mengde, and remained deeply grateful, fully considering not implicating his friend in his own misfortune. When Su Shi was first exiled to Hainan,he went to Zhao Mengde's mansion on arriving in Chengmai, where he inscribed names for two pavilions, and transcribed several poems by Tao Yuanming and other poets as gifts.During his exile in Danzhou,Zhao Mengde traveled from the capital city to Danzhou to deliver family letters and other items to Su Shi.When Su Shi finally returned to the north,he revisited Chengmai. At that time,Zhao Mengde was in Guangxi,so Su Shi left a hand-written note for his son, which is now the famous surviving work Duhai Tie(Crossing the Sea Calligraphy Copybook).关键词
