Evolution of Silencing Structure Parameters of Powder-actuated Fastening Tool Based on Multi-objective Optimization

Abstract
To address the excessive noise problem of indirect powder-actuated nail guns in engineering applications,the multi-objective optimization is used to evolve the parameters of the nail gun's silencing structure in this paper.The effects of parameters such as the number of silencing cups,silencing cup inclination angle,and flow path width on noise and the particle ratio within the silencing structure are analyzed,according to the designed full factorial experiment combined with computational fluid dynamics and aeroacoustics as well as gas-solid two-phase flow analysis.According to the significance analysis results,the silencing cup inclination angle has a little effect on noise,while the number of silencing cups and flow path width have an obvious effect on noise.The flow path width,silencing cup inclination angle,and number of silencing cups all have a great influence on the particle ratio.The multi-objective grey wolf optimization(MOGWO)algorithm is used to optimize the silencing structure parameters,and the optimization results show that when the number of silencing cups is 3,the inclination angle is 48.4°,and the flow path width is 1.0005 mm,the noise of the nail gun with the silencing structure is reduced by 10.4%compared to the original gun,exhibiting excellent particle containment capability at the same time.This optimization scheme provides an effective reference for noise reduction design in nail guns,which shows important application value in practical engineering.关键词
