Abstract

Using CS2 as a model sulfide,the effect of sulfide on naphtha steam cracking process was investigated.The sulfur distribution in cracking gas and cracking tar was analyzed and compared with crude oil steam cracking.The experimental results showed that the addition of trace sulfides(with a content less than 2 000 mg/kg)to naphtha had little effect on ethylene yield,but gradually reduced the yields of propylene and butadiene.With the increase of sulfur content in naphtha,the sulfur content in cracking gas and cracking tar increases,and 40%-60%(w)of the sulfur in the raw materials enters the cracking gas.After crude oil steam cracking,41.3%(w)of the sulfur element in crude oil enters the cracking gas,and 54.8%(w)of the sulfur element enters the cracking tar oil.Compared with the steam cracking of naphtha,the amount of sulfur entering the gas phase decreases,while the amount of sulfur entering the liquid phase increases.The main component of sulfides in crude oil cracking gas is H2S,accounting for more than 95%(w),the content of other sulfides is below 20 mg/kg,and CS2 accounts for about 0.1%(w)of all sulfides in cracking gas.
