Development of Theory and Practice in Fare and Passenger Flow Clearing for Urban Rail Transit Networks:A Review

Abstract
Fare and passenger flow clearing is an important and distinctive task in the networked operation and management of urban rail transit.The outcomes of the clearing process serve as a fundamental basis for a wide range of essential tasks,including fare reconciliation,network passenger flow analysis,operational planning,coordination of network operations,and operational risk control.To comprehensively analyze and summarize the development of clearing in urban rail transit networks,this study first reviewed the historical background for the emergence of fare and passenger flow clearing.It then provided a systematic overview,summary,and commentary on the development of clearing theories and practices both domestically and internationally.Considering the increasing demands for more refined operational management in future metropolitan rail transit systems,the growing diversity of operational data sources,and the trend of multi-level rail transit integration,this paper further analyzed and forecasted the evolution of clearing theories and practices.The findings offer insights for the construction and improvement of theoretical frameworks for network operation management under the conditions of multi-network integration in modern metropolitan area rail transit networks.关键词
