Abstract

The utilization of arrival and departure tracks is the core of railway passenger station's operational organization.The quality of planning directly impacts station operations.With both train operation and shunting operation coexisting and mutually influencing each other in railway passenger station operations,the formulation of a comprehensive operation plan for arrival and departure tracks that considers both train and shunting operations is particularly important.Considering constraints such as tracks and bottlenecks occupancy,passenger carriage pick-up and delivery,and single locomotive movements,a model for optimizing arrival and departure track utilization is formulated with the objective of maximizing its balance.This model integrates train and shunting operations and utilizes a Lagrangian relaxation algorithm for solution.Validation using operational train data from a certain hub-type passenger station demonstrates the effectiveness and rationality of the model and algorithm.Results indicate that the proposed approach achieves balanced and robust arrival and departure track schedules,offering valuable decision support for railway station operations.
