Abstract
Zuo Zongtang's poem The Third Poem of Eight Poems of Miscellaneous Senses in Beijing 1833 has had a wide and profound influence.However,the words,phrases and sentences such as"at that time","this","stone field","worthy expenses","relieving worring eyes"in the poem are not easy to understand,and there seems to be a contradiction between"this stone field in the sand dunes for a thousand years"and"thriving reclamation".Based on the history of Xinjiang and Zuo Zongtang's thoughts and practices on Xinjiang reclamation,this article explores these issues and translates this poem into mordern Chinese language.关键词
