Abstract

This paper takes a centralized mountainous PV power station in southwestern China as an example to conduct a detailed on-site investigation and analysis of its damage under extreme climate disasters.Based on the investigation and analysis results,design optimization suggestions and preventive measures are proposed.The research findings indicate that the actual wind pressure during the wind disaster far exceeded the design wind pressure,resulting in varying degrees of damage to the purlins,diagonal beams,diagonal braces,and pile foundations of the PV bracket.The PV modules suffered damage such as frame deformation and micro-cracks due to strong winds and hail.Four suggestions are further proposed to strengthen the wind-resistant design of PV brackets,optimize the connection method of PV bracket joints,improve the disaster resistance of PV modules,enhance the construction quality of PV power stations,and take disaster monitoring.The research results can provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the disaster resistant design and prevention measures of mountain PV power projects under extreme climate conditions.
