Abstract
PV power generation is an important energy utilization method that can achieve low-carbon economy,and therefore has been widely applied.However,due to the fact that PV modules are usually installed in open areas and building roofs,they are susceptible to lightning strikes.Once a lightning accident occurs,it will affect the normal operation of the entire PV power generation system.This paper uses a impulse current generator to output a 10/350 waveform current for simulated lightning strike tests.The damage of PV modules under direct and indirect lightning strikes in two states of not connected to power grid and power grid connected is analyzed.Based on this,corresponding lightning defense measures are proposed.The research results show that:1)The lightning strike test results of PV modules are consistent in both not connected to power grid and power grid connected states.When the metal frame of the PV module is directly struck by lightning,it has little effect on the appearance and output characteristics of the PV module.When lightning strikes the surface of PV modules directly,it can cause serious damage to the appearance of the PV modules,affect their normal power generation.Indirect lightning strikes have little impact on the appearance and output characteristics of PV modules.2)Lightning protection needs to be carried out from two aspects including the metal frame and surface of the PV module.Effective grounding of the metal frame of PV modules can achieve good lightning protection effect.In order to better protect the surface of PV modules,it is necessary to provide direct lightning protection for the entire PV array.Reasonable lightning protection devices and complete grounding measures should be adopted to ensure that the PV modules are not damaged by lightning strikes.关键词
