Abstract
To explore the technical pathway of walk-through virtual reality(VR)film production,this paper takes China's first walk-through VR film Palace Banquet in Tang Dynasty,as a typical case,which received the public screening permit(Film Censorship Virtual[2025]No.001).The study systematically maps its complete production pipeline,from technology selec-tion,engine fusion,interaction and visual guidance to character and audio optimisation,revealing the critical technical nodes and collaborative workflow,and summarising the technical challenges currently faced by VR films together with fu-ture prospects.Findings show that the pathway adopted in Palace Banquet in Tang Dynasty enables a multi-user walk-through VR film experience that balances visual fidelity with hardware performance in a space larger than 600 m2,provid-ing a replicable technical paradigm for converting additional Chinese cultural IPs into walk-through VR films.关键词
