WEI Qiping's Experience in Treating Vogt Koyanagi Harada Syndrome Based on the Theory of Strong Yang Striking Real Yin

Abstract
The Strong Yang Striking Real Yin has a long history in the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and is widely applied in the treatment of inflammatory and complex ocular diseases,providing clinical insight for difficult eye conditions.WEI Qiping,inheriting the clinical experience of the WEI's family ophthalmology,combined with his own years of clinical practice,applies the Strong Yang Striking Real Yin to treat complex eye immune diseases such as Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada(VKH)syndrome.He points out that Strong Yang leads to Solid Yin,resulting in the body's imbalance of Yin and Yang.The five organs'Yin-Yang imbalances are reflected in the five elements and eight directions,leading to ocular disorders.In treatment,external methods focus on clearing heat and calming wind,while internal methods aim to nourish Yin and calm wind.Additionally,methods to transform phlegm,soften hard masses,activate blood circulation,and resolve stasis are applied.These are complemented by personalized prescriptions based on the patient's constitution,yielding excellent clinical outcomes.The article summarizes the key points and diagnostic treatment principles used by WEI Qiping in VKH,and provides valuable insights for the diagnosis and treatment of various ocular diseases in TCM.关键词
