清热解毒药治疗眼底新生血管性疾病及其机制的研究进展
Research Progress on the Therapeutic Mechanisms of Heat-clearing and Toxin-resolving Chinese Medicines in Neovascular Diseases of the Fundus

Abstract
Neovascular diseases of the fundus are a group of clinical and pathological changes caused by pathological angiogenesis in the choroid and retina,commonly seen in various ocular fun-dus disorders.These conditions are major contributors to retinal damage and severe vision loss.In Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),it is believed that"heat forcing blood to move"may lead to blood overflowing from the vessels,resulting in abnormal angiogenesis.Thus,heat toxin is regarded as one of the key pathological factors in such diseases.In recent years,heat-clearing and toxin-resolving Chinese medicines have attracted considerable attention for their anti-angiogenic effects in tumor-related neovascularization.The studies have shown that these Chinese medicines act on multiple key targets and exhibit significant efficacy in various neoplastic diseases.Since the mecha-nisms of neovascularization in fundus diseases share similarities with tumor angiogenesis,such findings are of high translational value.This paper reviews the mechanisms of four representative heat-clearing and toxin-resolving medicines—Hedyotis diffusa,Scutellaria barbata,Scutellaria ba-icalensis,and Sophora flavescens—in the treatment of fundus neovascular diseases.Hedyotis diffusa can downregulate inflammatory cytokines and attenuate apoptosis;Scutellaria barbata reduces the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF);Scutellaria baicalensis and Sophora flave-scens improve oxidative stress responses and suppress pro-inflammatory cytokines.This review pro-vides a theoretical basis and reference for the clinical application of Chinese medicines in the treat-ment of fundus neovascular diseases.关键词
