Abstract

To improve the ventilation efficiency,enhance the thermal comfort of cabins in summer,and raise the design standards of cabins,this study selects the entertainment room of a RoPax ship as the research object.Using Airpak software,a cabin model was established under summer operating conditions.The thermal load and ventilation parameters of the cabin during summer were calculated,followed by meshing and setting boundary conditions.The airflow distribution within the cabin during summer was simulated,and the simulation results were analyzed,including temperature contours,velocity contours at head and foot levels in a seated human posture,as well as the Predicted Mean Vote(PMV)and Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied(PPD)indices.The study shows that under summer operating conditions,the thermal comfort of the cabin meets the requirements.
