Abstract

In order to solve the overcurrent fault of the permanent magnet motor propulsion inverter in electric ships and ensure the safe and stable operation of the permanent magnet propulsion motor,this study carried out the research on the overcurrent protection method of the permanent magnet motor propulsion inverter in electric ships.In the aspect of hardware,the protection design includes STM32 microcontroller,current detection and overcurrent protection modules for the permanent magnet motor propulsion inverter of the electric ships,which can effectively detect the current signal,and with the assistance of the software system,complete the overcurrent fault judgment of the motor inverter,and implement the corresponding protection.The software includes putting forward the inverse time limit overcurrent protection strategy adapted to the motor inverter,constructing the inverse time limit overcurrent protection model of the permanent magnet motor propulsion inverter,cooperating with the hardware of the motor inverter to complete the operation of overcurrent fault judgment,and completing the overcurrent protection work of the motor inverter with high quality.The experimental results show that this method has good overcurrent protection effect.After the overcurrent protection,the motor inverter can drive the motor better,and the motor can still resume stable operation within 0.2s even under inverter overcurrent conditions.
