2022年门源MS 6.9地震前预滑活动及危险区预测
The pre-slip activities before Menyuan MS 6.9 earthquake in 2022 and the hazard area prediction

Abstract
The non-slip"Locked"block surrounded by slip blocks may be the risk area of future strong earthquakes.The analysis of the deformation meter and water level meter of records of 31 seismic stations in Shaanxi,Gansu,Ningxia and Qinghai provinces shows that before the MS 6.9 earthquake on January 8,2022,"Quasi-synchronous"pre-slip activities occurred in the Qilian Block,the Alxa Block and the Ordos Block and their intermediate zones.These pre-slip activities weakened the"Locked"effect of the Alxa Block on the Qilian Block,and made the Qilian block accumulate greater kinetic energy.This disrupted the stable"Locked"state of the fault,resulting in a sudden rupture and unstable slip,thereby triggering the Mengyuan MS 6.9 earthquake.It is worth noting that Baiyin seismic station located near the West Haiyuan fault,was in a"Silent"state and no pre-slip activity was recorded during these pre-slip activities.The"Silence"of Baiyin seismic station is consistent with the"Slip rate loss"of the Hassberge segment of the Haiyuanxi Fault near it,suggesting that the site may now be in a"Locked"state.Previous studies have shown that under the continuous compression of surrounding blocks,the"Locked"boundaries of tectonic blocks are prone to accumulating tectonic stress,making them potential high-risk zones for future strong earthquakes.关键词
