Analysis of spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of solid tide modulation ratio before MS≥6.0 earthquakes in Qinghai and its adjacent areas

Abstract
This article uses the spatio-temporal scanning method to retrospectively study the spatio-temporal evolution process of solid tide modulation ratio before 12 earthquakes of MS≥6.0 in Qinghai and its neighboring areas.The results showed that:Anomalous high solid-tide modulation ratios were observed prior to each of the five MS≥6.0 earthquakes,and thus,the modulation ratio anomaly had a good indication of the occurrence of subsequent target earthquakes in both time and space.Moreover,the length of the time scanning window may have a certain positive correlation with the evolution time of the anomaly and the size of the anomaly region.The modulation ratio anomaly presents a spatio-temporal evolution pattern of"anomaly occurrence-enhancement-attenuation-(enhancement)-(attenuation)-seismicity".关键词
