Abstract

The observation data of the earthquake early warning system of the Beijing Seismic Network from 2022 to 2023 were sorted out.Typical earthquake cases with the earthquake catalog results were selected,and the early warning location characteristics of the selected earthquake cases were systematically analyzed based on the output results such as epicenter deviation,magnitude deviation,and origin time deviation.Meanwhile,we discussed the perspective of location differences.The results show that there is no significant correlation between the early warning magnitude and the number of stations participating in the first report.However,there is a certain correlation between the magnitude and the number of early warning outputs.The Beijing Seismic Network's early warning system has a high positioning accuracy for the first early warning report of earthquakes within the Capital Circle network,with the positioning deviation generally less than 5 km.The magnitude deviation of the earthquake early warning is generally controlled within 1 magnitude.The first report time used for the earthquake early warning is short,within 10 seconds mostly controlled.The origin time deviation is generally less than 1.8 seconds.The correlation between the first report time and the origin time deviation is low.This work aims to accumulate the earthquake cases and provide a reference for continuously improving the quality of observation data.
