Distribution Cable Defect Location Method Based on MFT-FMCW

Abstract
The cable defect location method based on frequency modulated continuous wave(FMCW)has the advantages of high positioning accuracy,strong anti-noise ability and wide measuring range.However,when the time delay of the reflected signal is long,the traditional FMCW method can't accurately realize mixing operation of the incident signal and the reflected signal,which may lead to the failure of the defect location.To solve this problem,this paper proposes a cable defect location method combining matched Fourier transform(MFT)and FMCW,aiming to improve the sensitivity and detection distance of the FMCW method in defect detection.Firstly,it analyzes the characteristics of multi-source frequency modulated signals in FMCW cable defect reflection signals in detail by establishing a distributed circuit parameter model of the cable.Secondly,the multi-source frequency modulated signal in the reflected signals is identified by setting the appropriate phase function in MFT,and the cable defect location function is constructed accordingly.Finally,defect location experiments on 2 000 m simulated cable and 400 m real cable are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.The results show that the method based on MFT-FMCW can accurately locate different states and multiple defects,and its maximum relative error is only 0.53%.Compared with the traditional FMCW signal mixing method,the proposed method shows higher detection sensitivity and longer detection distance.关键词
