Abstract

In order to investigate the influence by the inner surface shot blasting process on steam oxidation resistance of the hi-chromium austenitic heat-resistant steel tube,three types of the high chromium austenitic heat-resistant steel tu-be,i.e.,S31035,SP2215 and TP310HCbN are subjected to high-temperature steam oxidation experiments at 665℃ for a maximum of 3 000 h in both non-shot blasted and shot blasted states.The evolution law of the oxide layer structure is systematically studied by means of oxidation film thickness measurement,the X-ray diffraction,scanning electron micro-scopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy,and based on the oxidation kinetics curve,the 100 000 h corrosion data are extrapolated.As a result,the facts as follows are revealed.The shot blasting treatment can not obviously increase the steam oxidation resistance of the pipe,and in the above mentioned two states,the oxide film growth rate is close to the object composition;and from an engineering perspective,both the shot-blasted and the non-shot blasted specimens of the said three tubes are in compliance with the corrosion allowance as required under applicable specification.Accordingly it is recommended to cancel the shot blasting treatment for the said three types of tubes so as to reduce the production cost.
