Abstract
Corporate accelerators can be divided into venture capital accelerators,ecosystem accelerators,and partnership accelerators.Since 2022,the TotalEnergies'On Accelerator Program has completed four phases,supporting a total of 39 start-ups,and is currently in its fifth phase.The program,by supporting start-ups in the fields of electrical power and renewable energy,has accelerated technological breakthroughs in renewable energy generation,energy storage,distributed energy management,and electricity trades.It has also help TotalEnergies in business transformation and provided valuable experience for the sustainable development of the energy industry.The TotalEnergies'On Accelerator Program is significantly different from Shell's Canselerator program and Chevron's venture capital fund in terms of positioning,focus areas,selection criteria,support methods,and project cycles.The Sinopec Incubator is more focused on internal technological innovation achievements and technical personnel.Chinese oil and gas companies can refer to the successful model of TotalEnergies to establish their own accelerator programs in key areas by focusing on the important fields and selecting start-ups regularly,collaborate domestic universities and science parks to jointly provide supports for them,accelerate technology transfer as well as balance traditional and new energy businesses,and establish an open innovation ecosystem to meet the challenges of both energy transition and market competition.关键词
