Abstract
The 29th World Gas Conference(WGC2025),themed"Energising a Sustainable Future",conducted in-depth discussions on critical topics,including the global energy macro environment and energy transition,the diversity of regional gas development,prospects for China's natural gas industry,challenges and opportunities in gas infrastructure,and LNG market outlook and investment prospects.It also positioned the role of natural gas in the energy transition.This paper summarizes such four key perspectives on the role of gas as maintaining energy security,achieving a fair and orderly transition,its relationship with renewable energy,and supporting the development of renewable gas and proposes such three recommendations for China's natural gas industry as significantly increasing domestic natural gas supply capacity,establishing a fair,open,and orderly competitive natural gas market,and prioritizing emission reduction across the entire industry chain based on insights from the conference.关键词
