A numerical simulation analysis of fragment impacts on PBX9502
摘要
Abstract
In order to investigate the detonation characteristics of PBX9502 explosive under different velocity fragment impacts,a fragment impact model was designed.Euler algorithm and ignition growth model were used to simulate the fragment impact initiation process.By numerical simulation of experimental data of PBX9502 inert explosive in literature,the accuracy of the ignition growth model and its parameters and the rationality of the impact initiation calculation model were verified.The response of PBX9502 explosive under different velocity fragment impacts was investigated.The results show that the initiation threshold velocity obtained by numerical simulation is in good agreement with the literature results.When the fragment velocity is the threshold velocity,the explosive cannot be detonated due to the cushioning effect of the shell.With the increase of the impact speed of the fragments,the accumulation speed of the hot spots inside the explosive and the transmission speed of the detonation wave are accelerated,leading to a shorter detonation time and a more intense explosion response.关键词
