Screening of High Yield,Lodging Resistance,Suitable Varieties of Summer Maize in Cangzhou Coastal Arid and Alkaline Land

Abstract
The high soil salinity and frequent wind disasters in coastal arid and alkaline land result in low and unstable summer maize yield.Screening salt tolerant and wind resistant varieties is of great significance for high and stable maize production in arid and alkaline land.17 locally promoted maize varieties were selected,and the growth,production capacity,and stem lodging resistance of different varieties were determined through community planting experiments.Comprehensive analysis was conducted to screen for varieties suitable for coastal arid and alkaline land.The results showed that the yield of Wansheng 69,Woyu No.3,Zhengdan 1102,Dacheng 168,Jinkeyu No.3,Meikang 1T,Chengyu 668,and Jindan 72 were high,reaching 11 928.00-13 398.00 kg/hm2.The puncture strength of Dacheng 168,Wansheng 69,and Xindan 61 was high,while the bending strength of Meikang 1T,Jindan 72,Xindan 61,Wansheng 69,Dacheng 168,and Dayu 901 was high.According to the comprehensive evaluation,Dacheng 168 and Wansheng 69 have high yield,good lodging resistance,full and neat grain ar-rangement,and high yield varieties resistant to wind suitable for planting in coastal arid and alkaline land.关键词
