Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of cryopreserved platelet-rich plasma(PRP)alone in the treatment of chronic ankle injuries.Methods A retrospective selection was made of 70 patients with chronic ankle joint injuries ad-mitted to the Department of Orthopedics,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University from February 2018 to March 2021 as the research subjects.They were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the treatment methods,with 35 cases in each group.The control group received routine treatment,while the observation group received routine treatment+PRP treatment.The visual analogue scale(VAS)scores and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)ankle and hindfoot scores of the two groups were compared,and the occurrence of complications was observed and recorded.Results After 3 months of treatment,the VAS scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the AOFAS scores were higher than those before treatment,the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the AOFAS score was higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).In the observation group,8 patients experienced aggravated local ankle pain after PRP injection.The symptoms were relieved after symptomatic treatment,and there were no serious systemic complications.No obvious adverse reactions were observed in the control group.The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Cryopreserved PRP has a re-markable effect in treating chronic ankle injuries.Some patients may experience short-term pain intensification after injection,and their reactions need to be closely observed.关键词
