Abstract

Recently,natural disasters such as earthquakes,floods,and storms(typhoons)have shown frequent,group,and sudden characteristics.With rapid urbanization,the evolution of urban multi-hazards conditions and the propagation of multi-hazard risks has become increasingly complex,which seriously restricts urban sustainable development.Enhancing urban resilience is now an international consensus and research frontier in the disaster mitigation field.This paper focuses on key issues of urban resilience under multi-hazards,and systematically summarizes the development of multi-hazards coupling models,impact models for infrastructure systems,assessment methods for urban resilience,and resilience restoration and improvement strategies.In existing studies,the mechanisms of single-hazard disaster causation have been elucidated,and cascading failure models for infrastructure systems focusing on the coupling of power systems with others have been developed.Also,qualitative assessment methods for urban resilience have been proposed,and simulation systems for urban resilience based on historical data and empirical models have been explored.Future research needs to focus include multi-hazard coupling mechanism and simulation methods,function cascading effects on multi-systems,quantitative assessment of urban resilience,and comprehensive simulation framework integrating multi-hazard,engineering systems damage,and urban resilience.These research directions can further support the construction of resilient cities.
