Research progress on resistance of spatial structures to extreme disasters

Abstract
Spatial structures play a crucial role in modern construction engineering,and research on their performance under extreme hazards such as earthquakes,explosions,wind,and snow is of critical importance.Therefore,this paper reviewed recent advances in these fields.In seismic research,studies have primarily focused on the failure mechanisms of reticulated shells under strong earthquakes,as well as their damage assessment and the influential mechanisms of various complex effects.In blast and impact resistance research,emphasis has been placed on the damage response and protective methods of spatial structures.For wind resistance,key investigations include equivalent static wind loads,wind-induced fluid-structure interactions in membrane structures,and the wind uplift resistance of cladding systems.Regarding snow resistance,the paper highlights several common measurement methods for snow loads on building roofs.Although domestic and international scholars have made progress in studying the extreme hazard resistance of spatial structures,challenges remain,including outdated hazard models,simplified structural assumptions,and insufficient research on multi-hazard coupling effects.Future efforts should focus on strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration,addressing the performance degradation of existing structures,and leverage artificial intelligence to enhance disaster resilience.关键词
