Analysis of the Changes of the Communist International's United Front Strategy

Abstract
In the early 1920s,the Communist International adjusted its world revolutionary strategy:it focused more on national liberation movements in the East,adopted a"retreat"in the European revolutionary situation,and proposed the Workers' United Front Strategy in December 1921.By July 1928,the 6th Congress of the Communist International introduced the"Third Period"theory,claiming that the world revolutionary situation was entering a new climax.It then rejected the part of the Workers' United Front Strategy that involved negotiating with the upper echelons of Social Democratic Parties,and implemented a more"left-leaning"United Front from Below Strategy featuring an"offensive"approach.The shift from the Workers' United Front Strategy to the Lower-Level United Front Strategy signified a key turning point in the Communist International's political line.关键词
