Dual-mode acid paste etching technology for on-site metallography of nuclear power equipment and its applications
摘要
Abstract
To address the safety hazards and equipment contamination caused by traditional liquid etchants in on-site metallographic testing of nuclear power equipment,a dual-mode acid paste etching technology was developed.This technology includes electrolytic etching paste and coating etching paste,which are suitable for stainless steel and nickel-based materials(electrolytic etching paste)and carbon steel and alloy steel materials(coating etching paste),respectively.By introducing bentonite as a carrier,the etchant was solidified into a paste form,significantly improving operational safety and environmental friendliness.Test results show that after using the new acid paste etchant,the workpiece surface exhibits high cleanliness with no acid residue,and the etching effect is ideal.For example,the microstructures of stainless steel(SA-240 MTP316LN)and carbon steel(SA-508M)materials are clearly revealed with intact grain boundaries.The study confirms that the dual-mode acid paste etching technology combines efficient etching,easy cleaning,and pollution-free characteristics,filling the technical gap in the field of in-situ inspection of nuclear power equipment.This advancement is of great significance for improving the efficiency and safety of nuclear power equipment testing.关键词
