Exploring Contralateral Needling for Pain Management from the Perspective of Thermal Sensitivity Diagnosis
摘要
Abstract
The thermal sensitivity diagnostic method is used to assess a patient's sensibility to heat,offering valuable insights into the functional status of the nervous system.As a classical acupuncture techniques in traditional Chinese medicine,the contralateral needling methods involves stimulating specific meridians on the side opposite to the pain,aiming to alleviate or resolve pain symptoms.These two approaches can complement each other in clinical practice.Thermal sensitivity diagnosis can assist in determine whether the pain condition is suitable for contralateral needling therapy,and help identify the location,nature and severity of the disorder.Meanwhile,contralateral needling therapy plays a direct role in intervention and treatment.This study provides a preliminary discussion on the potential clinical applications of combining thermal sensitivity diagnosis with contralateral needling therapy in treatment of pain syndromes,aiming to offer new perspectives for pain management in clinical acupuncture practice.关键词
