Vocational Education and Chinese-style Modernization:Coupling Pattern and Optimization Paths

Abstract
Chinese-style modernization is a road that must be taken to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Vocational education is the type of education that is most closely combined with economic and social development.The interaction and symbiosis between vocational education and Chinese-style modernization has become a trend that cannot be ignored.Based on the discussion of the coupling coordination mechanism between vocational education and Chinese-style modernization,this paper took the data of 31 provinces and regions in China from 2012 to 2022 as an example,and analyzed the coupling coordination degree of vocational education and Chinese-style modernization and its influencing factors by using coupling coordination degree model and spatial Durbin model.The results show that:During the research period,the coupling and coordination degree between vocational education and Chinese-style modernization in China has been continuously improving,but it presented a distribution pattern that is higher in the east and lower in the west.As of 2022,the coupling coordination degree level of most provinces and regions in China was barely coordinated and primary coordinated,which urgently needs to be improved.There was a spatial positive correlation in the degree of coupling coordination,and the radiation and driving effect of"high-high"type provinces and regions was increasingly prominent.In the analysis of the influencing factors of coupling coordination degree,economic development,opening up to the outside world and government capacity all had significant impacts on the local area and neighboring areas.Urbanization only had a significant impact on the local area.The industrial structure had no significant impact on either the local area or its neighboring regions.Based on this,it is necessary to strengthen the concept of mutual promotion and co-existence between vocational education and Chinese-style modernization,build a spatial linkage pattern,give full play to the positive role of influencing factors,and thereby promote the high-quality and coordinated development of the two.关键词
