"Nostalgia for Antiquity" and "Literary Camaraderie":Ming-Qing Literary Representations and Memory Construction of the Du Fu Thatched Cottage

Abstract
Originally the former residence of Du Fu in the Tang Dynasty,the Du Fu Thatched Cottage has been imbued with profound cultural significance through the Du Fu's spiritual integrity and literary stature,becoming a powerful inspiration for subsequent generations of literati to compose poetic tributes or undertake restorations.In the Ming Dynasty,scholars transformed the cottage into a commemorative garden,while in the Qing Dynasty it underwent multiple renovations to become an urban cultural sanctuary.Literati of the Ming and Qing periods constructed dual cultural spaces of "nostalgia for antiquity" and "literary camaraderie" through literary writings.Evolving from physical remnants to symbolic realms carrying literary memory and scholarly ethos,the Thatched Cottage serves as a spiritual vessel.Its millennium-long legacy demonstrates the unique vitality of Chinese literary landscapes,that is,while architectural entities may perish,their condensed cultural essence can perpetuate through cultural lineage and continuously renew itself.关键词
